Although I miss the old Lobbies , I appreciate the convenience and simplicity of the new iteration. Details.. I went by boat with three others from New harbor. I had the pulled pork, very good flavor but so fatty I left a lot on the plate. Fries were good, but two of our party ordered fries, but got chips instead. Everyone else 's food beside that issue was to their liking. Cheeseburger, grilled cheese with tomato and bacon were both good. I had a **** Mary which was pretty much how they 've always been there... No complaints. I 'll definitely go back, and order something different. It 's really about the boat ride and tradition at this point.Parking: Relatively small lot, but with the new setup I can 't see it getting that crowded.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for wheelchairs, if you drive.Dietary restrictions: Not much for you if you 're gluten free, it 'll be protein only or on a salad. Salad only if you 're vegetarian.
This is a beautiful location to have a nice afternoon drink, but I was disappointed with the food on my most recent visit. The outdoor bar is well equipped, but this location used to offer a great restaurant. Sadly, this is gone and in its place is a take-out shack for food. The clam chowder was very salty, and the lobster roll (an expensive $31 was not exactly generously stuffed. As well, the lobster meat in it was soft shell, leaving the meat overly wet and somewhat squishy, not firm and delicious like hard shell meat. When I brought this to the attention of the young man taking orders and the serve-yourself take out bar, he was less than interested. He told me that it is all they can get due to the time of the year, but when I checked around (lots of lobster rolls out there! , it seems this is not really the case. So we will just go for drinks next time, enjoy the location, and dine elsewhere.
Vacationing in East Boothbay we drove by this place several times before deciding to give it a try. The set-up is basically a bar, a food truck and some tables set up on pier overlooking a boatyard, marina and the Damariscotta river. While we waited for 45 minutes for our fried clams and lobster roll we were dismayed to see that people who ordered similar items after us were getting their food first. Looking around, we noticed that a lot of patrons seemed to know each other, perhaps locals or marina employees. This place has a lot of potential as the view and ambiance are very unique, but it unfortunate that it does not feel more welcoming to tourists.
