Akash Indian - Booterstown

Location: Located 3mins walk from the BlackRock Station, and in the main county Dublin. It can be easily located. Food: One of the best Indian restaurant in the area. They make it according to the to spice required in your food. Dal, Chicken, and lamb main dishes are extremely delicious. They also serve drinks (beer, Wine) with the food (need to order separately though). Takeaways are packed thoroughly and the quantity is adequate. they put in papadums sometimes for free and have complimentary rice on 2 or more main dishes. Ambience: It is a bit dull, as compared to other Indian restaurants still an average. Cost: It is expensive and meal for two can be anywhere around 25-30 Euros Staff: Staff is courteous and welcoming.

The restaurant is clean and well presented, but the food is overpriced. The service is very they really need to hire more people for busy times. The food is overpriced and not that good. I had a naan that tastes like it was from a packet and a tandoori mix that was overcooked.

Having tried every Indian take away in the area, I eventually stumbled upon Akash in Blackrock. I enjoy very hot dishes and their Lamb Vindaloo (which they can make to whatever heat you would like), with a few nice cold beers, has been my Sunday evening treat for the last 4 or so years. Delivery was always fast and the drivers and guys on the phone always really friendly. Now I am moving away from the area, I will miss this place badly and only hope there is somewhere half as good near my new house. Keep up the good work lads, and thanks for many enjoyable years of eating all that delicious, spicy food.

Pathetic service and weird rules like €15 spending a person if you want to eat over here!!! The waiter was extremely unpleasant and inhospitable!! This happened when we were Indians and the owner was also an Indian!! Spoiled our mood!

We really enjoyed dinner here this evening. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious we will be back
