The Rock Grill - Boone

I placed a carryout order using their online menu. The menu showed 10 wings for $10.99, so I ordered two orders of 10, one each for my wife and myself. The employee who gave me the bill stated that each individual order was $20.99 and that the owner raised the prices but hadn’t updated the online menu. This was the first time I’d been back since a couple years ago when I’d ordered wings carryout and was going to use a High Country Dining Pass, but was told by the manager the coupon could only be used for dine-in, although there was nothing about this on the coupon. I’m done with them because of their false menu prices and dishonesty.

Rather slow service. Other wise pleasant. They offered us broccoli instead of french fries which we liked. Fewer calories that way.

Don’t go by the prices on the menu they’re all wrong.. also a 10 ct of traditional wings is over $20. On the menu it clearly says $10 and some change. $2 per wing ?! Amusement park prices over here..

The Rock used to be a dependable sports bar serving good drinks and pretty good food. My wife and I went recently to watch a game and The Rock felt like a different place. Staff seems focused on themselves and their friends. Appetizer ordered was not good. Staff ignores patrons coming in waiting to be seated. No longer a dependable restaurant.

Was in town for a visit and wanted to find a bar showing the Army/Navy game. Our hotel suggested The Rock Sports Bar Grill. Upon arrival we saw there were several TVs and the game was on, it went down hill from there. Our server seemed annoyed during out entire visit, we had to flag him down multiple times as he sat at the bar, more like a patron than an employee. We ordered the fried pickles and the mozzarella sticks, which were soggy, clearly frozen and reheated. The table we sat at was rickety and the chairs were sticky. We decided to leave at half-time of the game and will never come back.
