The Beacon Butcher - Boone

My wife and I ate here for the first time a few weekends ago, and will definitely be coming back fairly regularly.We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation time, with the intent of sitting at the bar and having a drink before our table was ready, and we did exactly that.We bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed a pleasant conversation with the bartender, until we were told our table was ready at exactly our reservation time.We ordered the gnocchi appetizer, which was so so so so good.My wife ordered the lamb, and absolutely loved it. I went with the filet, and while I'm not usually a fan of the pre-sliced steak approach, I didn't mind it here at all. My steak was amazing.Then we shared some tiramisu dessert, and while it didn't really remind me of tiramisu, it was lovely.Our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable, pleasant, and struck the perfect balance of letting us enjoy our evening, and making sure we were taken care of.Atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, a hair less than elegant (which fit perfectly, and enjoyable.Definitely give this place a shot.

We came here for the first time this weekend, and had an excellent experience! Big thank you to Erin for making my parents’ wedding anniversary so special. Everything was outstanding. The cocktails were all out of this world, as were the appetizers (burrata salad, cornbread, gnocchi, beef carpaccio . The beef stroganoff and lamb were incredible. Special kudos for the steaks we ordered filet and ribeye. All were cooked perfectly to order, and I appreciated that they were not OVERLY seasoned, so the flavor of the meat really came through. The Brussels sprouts were also delicious. Loved the fireplace and general ambiance. Service was also excellent. Some of the less positive comments left here are more of a reflection of the individual leaving them than the establishment itself. Not enough vegetarian options? It’s called a BUTCHER bar. (Plus, there were several vegetarian options; I counted 8! . Slow service?? It’s fine dining, not fast food. No steak sauce??? I’ll just leave that one alone…. All in all we had a wonderful meal, and I highly recommend the Beacon to anyone looking for a memorable evening in the Boone area!!

The food was excellent. The homemade pasta was wonderful. We had the Panzarella salad the corn bread for an appetizer it was, I mean everything was really good. My only issue was the dessert menu was limited, and our waitress who was lovely, described the desert as a moose like consistency, but it wasn't it was more like a fudgy good nice consistency the powder cream taste great.

Atmosphere was great with a 3 piece band playing. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive but not over bearing! We will go back again!
