Fresco Grill - Bonsall

It was hot!!! The manager stated in his heavy accent, there is nothing I can do except move us to another table? $300 for a dinner and being so hot I had to fan myself is not cool, pun intended. We went early for happy hour and was told that it is only available in the bar but was not posted on their website. We did not want the bar atmosphere so we asked if we could order a pizza from the happy hour menu (cuz it was not on the regular menu) at the regular price to be told NO! The manager is strict and does not make exceptions. So confusing because we wanted a pizza they make and was willing to pay regular pricing??? WTH? Ran out of oil and bread and only bread was brought back, had to ask for oil. The scallops were under cooked. The Risotto special hardly had any lemon flavor, had to ask for a lemon wedge and received a weirdly cut shape half of a lemon that had tons of seeds. Had to ask for each special, was not offered nor was she clear on what they were. I could go on about the server but maybe something bad happened to her and she was not on her A game. She did get me a side a veges added to my meal, very nice of her. They did come sing happy birthday (that was awesome) but the cannoli was horrible. The drinks were amazing! But will not go back.

We ate outside this Friday night. It was comfortable and less noise than inside seating. The server Lylah was a delight and the food was excellent. We had the Pollo Parmigiana and Salmon Fresco as well as the Strawberry and Insalata do Noci salads. We will return again next year when we are in town for our annual trek to Escondido.

We took our daughter for her birthday. We felt very rushed from the moment we sat down. No water refill. 2 bread baskets was not enough for 10 people. Dinner came within 5 minutes of ordering. Food was excellent except for the chicken parmigiana was dry and over cooked. Waitrr disappeared after he took our food order and we had to ask another waiter for dessert. Disappointed.

We had a group of 30 people. We had a large that worked well and our group really enjoyed our evening. The service was excellent. Prices are moderate. Several people had never eaten here, and everyone enjoyed our experence.
