Sumalee's Thai Cuisine - Bonney Lake

Sumalees is our go to place for Thai because the food is always good and reasonably priced. We went this evening and got the worst service ever. Our waitress (Nessa) was horrible. Her attitude was like we were a big inconvenience to her. She didn’t hear our full order and was too much of in a hurry. When we got part of our order, it was wrong. We also saw her carrying multiple dirty glasses with her fingers inside the dirty glasses and then she would handle food orders (nasty). Next time we go to sumalees we will call to see if Nessa is working.if she is working then we will go somewhere else to eat.

This was the worst dining experience we ever had. 1 Our waitress never brought us water. We had to ask another waitress for water. 2 One of the waitresses dropped a bowl from a table she was busing it sprayed sticky stuff over one of us. 3 People who came 5 10 minutes after we did were getting served. 4 An hour into waiting for food, a waitress asked us if we needed more water or were ready for the check. We told her we never got our food, and she responded by saying oh sh . We asked for the food to go because it was getting late. Another 10 15 minutes passed and it became clear the food order never made it to the kitchen. At that point, we told them we 'd just pay for the one drink we ordered and wanted to leave. 5 I politely explained why we no longer wanted the food. The waitress wouldn 't look me in the face and hid her face with her hand (or maybe she was holding her head, idk). Either way, she never apologized for our experience. She did however, argue with the kitchen staff in front of me. And all this is not counting the fact that one of the waitresses spilled a glass of water all over another party 's table while we were there. Yikes. It must have been a rough day, but we won 't be returning.

I regret to say that this restaurant has seriously declined. It used to be much better. The food is inexpensive but poorly prepared, and while the prices aren’t exorbitant, they don’t reflect the quality of the dishes. I’m not sure how they managed to mess up the pad se ew—a fairly straightforward dish—but they did. We went there to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and sadly, we didn’t enjoy the meal at all. Our server was slow and seemed indifferent; she simply placed the soda bottles in front of us instead of providing glasses. When I ordered jasmine tea, it arrived in a coffee cup filled with hot water and a tea bag. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins, and our server looked surprised by the request. Eventually, another staff member who appeared to be actually working came out of the kitchen to bring us what we needed. Overall, this restaurant doesn’t even deserve a single star. We won’t be returning.
