That was the best thing in this place. Although there is not your 4 stars NY rating, where competition is huge, I give it this review because of its unique venue and character and there is nothing else like it in the area. My friends had excellent chickens, sauce and potatoes. The salads were great. I ordered the spaghetti that was fine, but the meatball was definitely over boiled and the meal was dry. So I will avoid this dish in the future and try other dishes I hear are very good. Summer is the time to enjoy the water function on the back terrace. You have heating, but hey, North Idaho is cold, except for a few months in summer. Check out “Two Tones”. I recommend it and if this booking was helpful, please “How” my post. It helps to have the feedback.
The food was fantastic on both occasions, and the service was even better! The owner was gracious at our first visit and recommended a nearby hike to a beautiful waterfall, Myrtle Falls. Sit outside and enjoy the ambience with quiet water features and a squirrel show. Each appetizer, Entree and Dessert was incredible, you can't miss!
The one at the northern end of the abdominal ceiling, that's for you. If you are looking for five stars caliber food without the high price, this is the place to go. As from Seattle and for business trips I tasted great food from anywhere. The cook has worked on several high-end restaurants on the coast and has compiled a menu of the best meals and deserts. Hands down best Clam Chowder I've ever had. He makes it every Friday and will sell you a big batch when you call on Thursday or early Friday. Get some for hunting camps, or fishing the river to warm you up. The pasta that my wife and I ordered made us overwhelm. My son's hamburger looks like something you'd see on an ad for American beef farmers. Oh, but wait, they have the deserts I mentioned earlier. Save space if you can, or get it to go. I would have written pictures of them, but they were sworn before I got a chance. I feel that the other employees also have their own contributions, as it sounded as if one was responsible for the desert side of things. The owner and the staff were all very friendly and offer fast and friendly service. If you drive to Bonners Ferry, add this to your stop. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
On a whim and based on some of the reviews, we decided to try Two Tones Cafe on the way back to Sandpoint. One of the best lunches we had in a long time. decided to share the French dip sand, the steak salat. I give the sand that's 10 out of 10. The meeting was SO Tender! Friends who came with him were good. Hubby loved the steak salad... especially with the Balsamico vinaigrette it came with. I think I would have enjoyed it with a more fruity or less stringent Vinaiigrette, but I really like the slices of fresh cabbage in this salad, which is not typical of a spinach salad... made for big added crisp to the entire texture - not to mention healthy. Everything tasted fresh and tasteful. And when I finally asked our hostess, if all desserts were made fresh, she answered, and she is the one who makes them all! The hardest choice to choose one, but I chose the chocolate mousse cake with raspberry. Cake was fresh and damp, texture and aromas really good. I prefer my cakes to be richer, but most people would really appreciate this not....so great cake. Will definitely come back and I intend to try all desserts!
Truly a hidden gem in Bonner’s Ferry! If you’re a foodie, stop here. There are multiple items on the menu I would love to try. The food was fantastic and I will definitely stop here again. The service was superb as well.
