Veggie choice: we were just in a museum near the museum (on the so-called museum mile and the options on a Saturday afternoon directly in front of Christmas were limited. (a bakery that we had discovered in an enlightenment session turned out to be closed). we chose vapiano (a...chain in whole Germany) as one of only two places we could find without miles to foot. the concept of a Vapiano restaurant is strongly based on the gimmick of the customer who does the work; i.e. they arrive and get a plastic card handed over. then they have to go to food stations to order their food, with various counters for pasta risotto dishes, salads, pizzas, drinks and desserts. the first thing that is annoying for the inappropriate is that you need to find a menu first, some stations have them helpful in the proximity of the counter, others do not. anway, they can then order the food and see how it is prepared. basic drinks can also be ordered at all food stations. Once the order is made, the employee will add it to their card that we ordered in touch a mixed salad and a pizza between two that was much for a light lunch. the salate tasted very beautiful, all ingredients being crisp and fresh. the dressing was too strong for my personal taste; you have a selection of different dressings. from the veggie pizza choices that were polluting our choice (the other options were margarita and funghi), and then we were a handheld (similar to a remote service or a small phone), took our salat, found a table and waited. after minutes or so, this is vibrating, and we could pick up our pizza. for dessert we had a Panna-Citta with a strawberry sauce on the top very nice! for a Saturday afternoon there was plenty of space and we did not have to wait too long for our food. I guess it could be another story during the week of work, and this could also slow down the ordering process, the time it takes to prepare for the food, and when they eat it. the mechanics of the process works well, and eating is in order, although the gimmick of ordering and the gathering itself is not something that excites us enough to search the next vapiano wherever we could be next. but it is solid eating and well prepared.
We identified this restaurant during our walk to the city center, because its glass facade freshly cooked a view of Italian cuisine. they certainly have a unique system where each cutsomer is given a token used for billing. you take the...token and after the choice of the teller, go to the corresponding counter. for happiness, someone at the input reception invites customers to the system so that you are not all on the sea. we found the system easy to be bizarre, but enjoyed the experience that eating directly from our eyes to observe. the handcrafted pasta was removed from their pack and cooked before us. the food was hot and tasted fresh and fine. the salate was also delicious. overall we enjoyed the experience.
Vapiano fast Italian cuisine, which is considered good eating with a system that is so unfriendly for new customers. had this place and at the end it is just another fast food chain
I was in town for business and it was a major holiday in Germany. We went for lunch at Vapiano. It was super crowded, a lot of families were out enjoying lunch. The concept is super neat. You chose what you want, pizza, salad, pasta....Then you queue, order and it’s prepared right in front of you. The food was delicious and the service was good. Would definitely go again.
