We lived up the street from this little gem and were always treated to very good food and outstanding service. The couple who owns it are friendly and make it point to know their customers. We would often show up late and would never be...turned away (almost unheard of in Europe) We loved this place. For the kids they have different shaped pizzas like bats or dragons which my boys thought was the coolest thing. They have fun cocktails, and a great wine list. They are friendly and family oriented. Great for anything date night, family night, or special occasions.
We visited lavita today after we have a reservation for a table for two. the personal follows the current safety standards and remains attentive and well maintained, which has welcomed us. as usual, la vita has a daily menu next to the regular menu....We have selected a pizza tailored to our special desires and the salmon lasagna from the daily special. both were absolutely fabulous, we were above the moon! and only if we thought the things could not be better. we were treated with something really special: the “Marons mascarpone mousse”! what a fabulous experience.
When I arrived in ristorante la vita, I just wanted to order a pizza and salat, but saw roasted duck breast on the menu and thought I was a little adventurous. I waited almost 45 minutes, but overall the meal was pretty good....I thought I would order a piece of tiramisu and a coffee for dessert. that took about 20 minutes and what I received was not tiramisu. it was a bowl with sloppy (I think) with a little cake and a few pieces of chocolate. When I asked the waiter whether it was tiramisu, he continued to bs me, that it was a “other kind” of tiramisu, because families with children come to the restaurant.? it was not worth 1 eur let alone the 5,50 eur that they accused me. the plus the 3.80 eur for a .41 liter glass cheap pilsner beer means that if I am back in bonnn, I will not eat at any case at ristorante la vita.
I never knew this place until I was invited to the birthday of my patenkind. Yes, the birthday of a child who was kind of weird. but when the pizza came for the children, I knew why. the pizza for children are in various forms (cat, flea mouse, dragon...etc the children loved it and it tasted good. the place is in dottendorf, which is not the usual place to go past, unless they have to go there. I think it is accessible by public transport, although I saw a bus pass on the main road. that's worth it anyway! the place is beautifully decorated. the main dining area is well illuminated and in a corner you will find the stone oven and the pizzatheke and see how the kerl makes the pizza. there are two loggia (a small and a large one that can be reserved for groups. this is good because there are some private sphere and the group cannot disturb other guests. the personal is friendly and children are very welcome. they also have a garden where the children can play. I ordered wild boar fillet in cowardly sauce with captivating. it's really good! that is their menu for the day. Of course they have the usual pizza and pasta, which is good. I must have criticized cleanliness, as some areas are somewhat dusty and many spider nets.
