Brauhaus Zum Gequetschten - Bonn

The place is nicely located at the center of Bonn. I could sit outside but that is the smoking area. I ordered an old style Berlin stake and it was ok. The potatoes were good as well as the local beer. Overall it was a good experience the payment process was a bit strange. I never seen the actual bill, just the credit card receipt.

There are plenty options in city center Bonn so do not stop here. Not a good place for tourists and based on what we saw, locals do not go here either. City center was busy and we popped in because it was empty. We quickly learned why it was empty. Good location though for someone looking to open a new place when this one inevitably goes out of business.

We ate here a couple of times.Friendly staff, good quality food at a reasonable price and excellent beer.When the weather is nice it's a good place to eat outside and people watch -- if the weather isn't good, inside is a typical german brauhaus.

We went for dinner, for which we had to wait very long.When the bill came, we had to pay for the drinks twice as much as was indicated in the menu. The waiter said, that we had got a double amount, and had we not wanted this, we should have said this when we got the drinks served. For our 2 glasses of water next to our drinks we had to pay € 6,80.The waiter mixed up the food order, the specials indicated on a leaflet on the table were sold out.

We went there during christmas market time, the place was full so waiters didn't really care about people coming. We got a table and we were told we could not order small beer, because of the christmas market they were only serving large beer (even though its tap beer) the food didnt look that good and was quite expensive together with a terrible service we decided to leave, really bad experience.
