La Vera Pizza - Bongaree

We ordered three pizzas to go and the toppings were so scarce you would need a microscope to see them. The cheese was not mozzarella, but some weird blend of cheeses. This was our second time trying this restaurant and it will be our last! Domino's pizza is much better in comparison.

Rudest staff I have ever experienced. Can’t review the food will never go back or recommend. I just required a tax invoice for work purposes and they could not provide it. I said the EFT receipt was good enough which it is not. Reluctantly, had to ask for a refund as I needed a tax invoice. From this point on what came out of the blonde waitress mouth was nothing short of horrendous. I was never rude at any stage. After she completed the refund, she said to me never come back. all because I required a tax invoice adding to this, I was never acknowledged when I walked in. She walked past me at least three times without saying a word. Can’t comment on the pizza however, the service was without doubt the worst and rudest I have ever experienced and no idea how this person has a job in that industry

We arrived at the restaurant after making a reservation, but it seemed like they were not aware of it. They seated us at a table in a narrow area anyway. We were surprised to find out that we had to order at the counter, as the waitress eventually informed us. The food, a pizza and pasta, took a long time to arrive. The pizza had an undercooked base and the lamb on it was scarce with some gristle. The flavor was okay. The pasta was cooked well but lacked flavor and was a bit watery. There was no salt on the table, which would have helped. The price seemed a bit high for what we received. We were somewhat disappointed considering the many great reviews we had read before coming to the restaurant. Perhaps we just came on an off night, being a Saturday.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant and got 3 pizzas. The only one that was decent was the pork and prawn, although the prawns were almost invisible. The cheese on all the pizzas had a strange taste, definitely not mozzarella. Additionally, the pizzas were undercooked. We tried ordering from this place twice, but we won't be doing it again. Dominos may not be the best, but it's certainly better than this place.

Come on guys for the prices you charge at least have the decency to make your own pizza base dough and if you do then sack the person and hire someone who knows what they are doing! Vegetarian toppings were good and made ours passable but Bribie Island deserves better even for a backwater
