The Southfields - Bolton

Called for a late lunch on way back from Manchester. Husband had hunters chicken sizzler I had a bean burger. Both meals were piping hot and delicious..we both struggled to.finish as they are very generous portions .No idea how they do what they do for...the prices they charge . Husband had a chocolate sundae for dessert and he said it was lovely. Can't fault this place..super friendly staff too .

I decided to meet up with my friend having not seen her for a while decided to go to Southfields never been before and will not be going back anytime soon.We all sat down in a lovely booth and had a look at the menu...which was not bad at all ,we all decided to have the salmon .We went to the bar to order food and it was downhill from there The restaurant had one piece of salmon left so we decided to let my daughter have that piece I ordered scampi and my friend ordered surf and turf and two side dishes of sweet potato fries and mac and cheese .Ten minutes later food arrived a bit too quick for my liking .My daughters salmon looked liked it had been kicked around the kitchen floor even the waiter said it looks like its been in an accident my daughter refused to eat it ,the mac and cheese done in a microwave and looked like it had come out of a packet my friends steak had so much fat on it by the time she cut it off there was barely any steak left and my scampi was ok but only that very disappointing and unless food improves won't be going back anytime soon and I would not recommend it .

Came with friends for drinks and had some of the small plates too, really good prices for drinks and for on starters was good too will be back soon i think

Great pub food served by friendly and efficient staff. Visited with a friend and we had great attentive service from Andrew, one of the managers. Food arrived quickly and was delicious, best nachos I've ever had! Great choice for carnivores and veggies alike. Definitely worth...a visit. Plenty room inside and out.
