The poppadoms were stale, the beer was actually poured from cans, and the Sylheti tarkhari was supposed to be spicy but lacked any heat. There was a severe lack of meat and mostly just chunks of onion and peppers. The butter chicken was like a can of warmed-up coconut milk with thin slices of chicken. I could hear the microwave 'ping' seconds before our food was served, which was not a good sign. The garlic naan was the only decent part of the meal. It was definitely not worth the money. I usually eat at high-end restaurants and don't mind spending money on good food, but this place is one to avoid.
The restaurant was too cold to sit in on a winter's evening, forcing us to eat our meal while wearing our jackets like everyone else in the restaurant. Despite the chilly atmosphere, the food was some of the best Indian cuisine we've had in a long time and the service was excellent. However, we found the bill to be a bit high, especially considering the freezing temperatures we were expected to dine in. We will definitely be returning, but not until the spring when the weather is warmer.
I enjoyed my meal very much this evening. It was tasty, hot. Service was great on timing. Friendly staff. Restuarant was quiet for a Saturday night, I don't know why as this area of bolton has plenty of pubs to go to before after a meal here.
Worst indian food and restaurant service we have ever had. Head waiter was downright rude, no wonder there were only three other tables with customers. Would never go back.
We have eaten here 4 or 5 times now and also had food as take away. I can honestly say it's the best food in Bolton and definitely on a par with any food we have had in India too! The service is always very good and though it lacks a little atmosphere it's still my favourite. Its been several months since we last went and I note someone mentions new ownership so we will see when we visit in the next week or so. A friend of ours lives in Thailand and the first thing he said when he came back was when can we go to indali! The other good thing is that unlike other places we hae never had an issue using our taste card here. I willpower another review when we visit next.
