Take A Break Cafe - Bolsover

We call quite regularly for breakfast which is basic but good. Beans or scrambled egg on toast. The brown bread is delicious. Nice, friendly staff and nice décor. Lovely selection of cakes so our next visit may well be afternoon tea. The café has a lovely feel about it comfortable and welcoming with the added advantage of supporting a local charity.

Nice to just walk into the village rather than get the car out, really good value, food was all home made and tasty. Good service and friendly staff means we will be back soon

We decided to give this restaurant a try and we were pleasantly surprised. For less than £15, we each enjoyed two courses and a drink. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious. We both had roast dinner followed by treacle sponge for dessert. We're already planning to go back for breakfast and Sunday lunch next week.

My mum and dad are receiving meals delivered by “take a break”. I can’t speak highly enough and thank them for what they offer. Obliging and caring. Delivered hot and the previous crockery picked up. My mum is used to cooking meals but she says how tasty and delicious their food is. Very important when you are not on your best form. The meals have fresh vegetables and certainly are a generous plate full. All the meals go down well. Thank you to the team and keep up this important service.

I had a large bacon sandwich in a massive sub roll. When I went to pay, I thought they had undercharged me. I've heard great things about their dinner delivery service too. I'll definitely have to give it a try.
