I am a huge sourdough fan, so when my doctor told me I couldn't have gluten it was a major let down. Fast forward to hearing about Wild Phyllis Bakery and their gluten free sourdough. I had to try it and let me tell you it was nothing short of amazing. The same sourdough flavor with no gluten-an amazing gut health choice. Not only do they have breads but cookies, muffins, scones, etc. The inside of the cafe is very small and with how popular the bakery is, it can get pretty crowded. Be prepared for there to be a line when you show up. The wait is well worth it. Once you buy your loaf of choice, they can also cut it for you right then and there to save yourself some time and mess cutting it at home. They also have other items for sale including farm fresh eggs, dips/spreads, pastries, etc. They are open from Thursday-Saturday 10-3, stop by if you get the chance!
First time visit, grabbed a baguette, couple Oatmeal and cranberries cookies, and a fig salami. All very good! Especially them cookies! The young team there on Saturday afternoon were very gracious and courteous...
Was told about this place for their sourdough breads I love sourdough especially the ones with a good bite to them so Stopped in on a Tuesday and they were closed. They are open Thursday Saturday 11 3 and are usually SUPER BUSY with limited parking and little to no counter space/lobby so the line is out the door and inky 1 cashier so be prepared to wait a bit but not too long Thursday is the day they have fresh plain sourdough and rye breads and of course all the other goodie 's such as cup cakes, scones and specialty coffees. Friday is the day they have flavored and other breads. I love the sprouted seeds grains loaf, although it does not taste very sourdough ish it is amazing, best bread I 've ever had! So hardy , thick and has seeds rough cut grains throughout. My favorite way to eat it is toasted. A slice or 2 is a meal for sure. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good quality bread, although not a huge grocery chain of selection and definitely higher priced than most people would be willing to spend to me it 's worth it. You won 't know if you like it until you try it. :
My husband and I haven't eaten bread in a few years, but the long ferment process makes it possible for us to enjoy sourdough bread again. Delicious, fresh, great texture and perfect every time AND no digestion issues!
