The music was so loud! Felt pretentious to me. They put a gratuity automatically into the bill. Staff were friendly.

Had a great time! Drinks were on point. Staff were super friendly. Super chill atmosphere makes this a great place to sit, sip and visit with whoever you're with!

Fun drinks but the service was terrible. I went for pre dinner drinks with my husband and two daughters. We arrived 90 minutes before needing to head off for dinner. I had been to Water bear a few times before and was aware of the slower service than the average bar. We all had a round of drinks. Our waitress was just in general rude. Not sure why. We were dressed for Holiday dinner, we are quite and respectful, we had made reservations and arrived on time. We had 40 minutes left after the first round so 2 of our party ordered a second drink a beer and a Campari and soda. We did inform the waitress that we had to leave in 30 minutes giving ourselves ten minutes of wiggle room. She assured us this would not be a problem and went ahead and brought the total check. We waited 25 minutes and no second drinks even though they were on the billl. I stopped her and said we would need to cancel the last two and leave. Again we made her fully aware of our schedule prior to ordering the drinks. She refused to cancel the drinks and grabbed the bill and credit card and rang them up. Still with no second round. They came about 5 minutes later and my daughter drank a little of hers and my husband did drink his beer. I have to say this is the rudest I have ever been treated at a bar. Love the fact that this a women owned bar and want to support it. Unfortunately will not risk this type of service again.

I love this bar! They have some of the best cocktails in town and an amazing ambiance.

18% Living wage gratuity added at checkout. They told us this but it wasn 't until we checked out. My experience with automatic gratuities is that the wait staff phones-in their service because they know they 're going to get tipped no matter what; unfortunately, this was no different. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks (on a Wednesday night, not exactly slammed). After my drink was gone I asked one of the wait staff for our server and she said she 'd get them. 5 minutes later our server came by and had no clue I 'd asked for her. Overall, the drinks were a 5-star. Service was a 1-star. I bumped up the average to a 3-star rather than down to a 2-star. As far as a living way 18% gratuity , at those prices the owners can afford to pay more and the staff can work for their tips, just like all other servers. You go to a place because of the menu; you go back because of the service. I won 't be back. And no, we didn 't leave additional gratuity.
