The Gyro Shack - Boise

Unfortunately I got severe food poisoning after eating the super. It's all I ate yesterday so there is nothing else it could have been. Very dissatisfied. Never again.Food: 1/5

The order taker messed up my order, even though I thought I was clear. I ordered TWO kids' meals and specified that BOTH should have Dr. Pepper. I didn’t realize until later that the total seemed a bit low, which should've alerted me to the mistake—my fault for not catching it. Finally, we got our food, but one of the kids' meals was missing, along with the fries! The chicken strips were just plain chicken strips—no breading at all, nothing like a traditional chicken strip. About 30 minutes after eating my Gyro, which was decent but way too salty, I felt incredibly sick. I was really unwell. I ended up throwing away the chicken strips because I didn't want my kids to end up feeling the same way.

I had an incredible experience at the State Street location! The food was both delicious and served hot. The staff member there had a fantastic vibe as well! I will definitely return.

The gyros and Greek fries are great value for the price. The lemon rice is good, and the portion of tzatziki is quite generous.

It's an ok place to eat but I guess that depends on whether or not your on a gyro binge then it's good I'd say best gyros in town on the other hand if your just looking for something quick to eat if say it's way too expensive for the amount of actual food you get. If a gyros what your hankering for then yes go here and spend a little extra. Other wise if it's a quick bite to eat if your tight money I'd go else where. But I have been here numerous times through out the years.
