Taj Mahal Homestyle Indian And Pakistani Cuisine

This is the BEST indican food I have ever had. As someone who grew up eating Indian food, I have never once had Indian food at a restaurant that felt like it was made with the same care and love as it is at home. The chef/owner came out and talked with us for almost 15 minutes after our meal. He told us stories and made us feel like we were his kids. I ate here 4 days ago and I’m pretty sure every day since, the group I went with have commented on how good it was. We are already planning our next visit. If I could give them 20 stars I would.

The Taj never fails to delight. It is plainly the finest and most authentic Indian restaurant in the State. Everything is prepared from scratch by a superbly talented chef/owner. The leg of lamb special was out of this world, as was the Halibut.

For ethnic fare, our go-to first choice is always Indian cuisine. We've been fortunate enough to enjoy fine Indian fare in London, Mumbai and several stateside restaurants, however it would be pretty tough to top Boise's Taj Mahal. The food was simply amazing. This is a family operation and everything is apparently cooked from scratch, lovingly, perfectly. The home-made onion na'an bread was off-the charts divine. Not to be missed if Indian/Pakistani cuisine is a top choice of yours.
