Mandarin Palace - Boise

I will never eat here again. This used to be my favorite restaurant 37 years ago when I was 7, and I had such happy memories of it. I went there for my birthday dinner hoping to relive those memories, but it was a huge disappointment. If the bathroom is in such a terrible state, I can't even imagine what the kitchen must be like. Plus, my daughter’s General Tso's chicken was cold in the middle. I definitely won't be returning. It's a shame, because I really wanted to enjoy the evening with my big birthday group, but it was hard to overlook how disgusting the place was.

Mandarin serves delicious food, and Wendy is truly a wonderful person. My ex-husband's family has been coming here since they were kids. This restaurant holds a special place in the hearts of many locals.

I called in to find out if it was okay to get my service?? Dog with me in the restaurant they answered the phone and laughed at me, then they hung on me. I called her back and asked her if she hanged on me and they said we don't even want a dog in here? Dog. We don't care about laws that tell us we have to let a dog here.

We got sick here every 12 hours after dinner. Had to take my stepson to the hospital, wouldn't stop throwing. He found out he had food poisoning.

We have been hard pressed finding a quality Chinese food place in Boise since our favorite, (Twin Dragon), closed about 10 years ago. We've tried a few, and nothing has been good enough. This place we were able to order by phone for take out. It was ready within a few minutes of our arrival, which wasn't bad as a lady before us had a very large order. My husband ordered the #3 I ordered the #4 with a couple extra egg rolls, as mine didn't come with them, and I love a good egg roll. They were crispy and delightful. Both our meals were delicious! Great sizes for the price, very reasonable. The lady that brought us our food was adorable, light hearted, personable, and funny. We will definitely be a repeat customer, and probably sit down next time.
