Had a great first-time experience! So cool how it's self serve and you can have as little or as much beer as you like. Although it felt a bit wasteful when sampling things, it was neat that they actively encourage you to get a new glass for each brew so that the flavor shines through without competition. Prices were reasonable (especially considering the variety and flexibility) and the staff were friendly and willing to jump in on a good conversation without being overbearing. Only two critiques for the whole experience... 1) They need more variety in style of beer. There are probably more IPAs than necessary (even though I love them), and they could use more sours, saisons, and/or belgians to round out the offerings alongside their stouts/porters. 2) They probably need to offer shot glasses or some equivalent for sampling so you don't have to waste a full-size glass on a taste. Again, it's awesome that you get to taste each beer from a clean vessel, but It's uncomfortably wasteful to use a 12oz glass for a 0.5oz sample. In any case, look forward to going back and enjoying the casual atmosphere and tasty brews. Hope this is a local business that finds it's niche downtown.
I love that I don’t have to commit a whole beer to try a new one. This place is fabulous!
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great local selection!
It's pretty great. It's like BodaVino for beer! It can get expensive really fast, tho. So, you walk in and give them your debit card (they do cash also, but cards are way simpler for the process). They then give you a card that you use to pour beer by the ounce. Under each if the taps is a card slot. Insert the card and it activates the two adjacent tap heads. The price tallies as you pour. The beer prices range from 25 cents an ounce up to 94 cents an ounce. You never get sticker shock because you see the cost as you fill your beers. Last, their pizza is pretty good. Nothing out of this world but it goes great with good beer. Try the Greek Pizza...its worth it.
