Los Bohemios - Bogotá

We went in a Sunday. Many other places were closed, but that was fortunately not. We had fresh juices, mushrooms in a very nice garlic sauce with some bread for diving and a beautiful pizza (a big one for us 2). The...Juice was very nice and fresh and because the waiter found that we had to wait a little long on the pizza (which was really no problem because we also had the appetizers) we got another juice for free. The pizza was excellent as we want it and we were served very friendly. We recommend this place defenitiv!

It should have been our first choice! It is Monday in a holiday and we happen to be in this place after our first decisions have been closed. It is a cozy restaurant that radiates a European charm. Maira is a wonderful owner, cook and waitress. She is made of...Santa Marta, Columbia and spent more than a dozen years with Italian cuisine. It's not your American Italian, but we fell in love! The bruschetta, the Canneloni and the lasagna mixta were spectacular! We definitely plan to return to this original place while we are here.

Many grilled meat restaurants can be found in Bogota, but it was a refreshing change to eat in this original Italian restaurant. The food was good and plentiful... well worth the visit.

My girlfriend and I came across this cozy restaurant in the heart of La Candelaria. They had a musician playing beautiful bossa nova music on his guitar was told he plays every Sunday. Fire burning in the fireplace which was so nice on the...chilly evening. We shared a small pizza and a pasta which was delicious and the right amount of food. The menu is international/fusion, so the pasta was actually an Asian rice pasta (gluten free! and was quite good it's a little more tender than semolina pasta. We had the Pasta al Speck which besides speck (an Italian cured meat included tomato sauce, sun dried tomatoes, basil, portobello mushrooms and walnuts. Thin crust pizza good, too. They have home made desserts which are amazing. I had a piece of vanilla cake which was excellent. Also had to try a large cookie I saw in the dessert case 2 thin shortbread like cookies with arequipe filling, dusted with powdered sugar heaven! Really enjoyed the wine selection which was very reasonable priced. If you just want a glass, they offer Anakena Chilean wine for $3.50 U. S. per glass.
