Arepas Rellenas Donde Fercho - Bogotá

This Fast Food Joint was a few doors from our Airbnb, so was a logical choice for a fast snack. We had the jamon y queso (ham and cheese) and queso, pollo, champiñones (cheese, chicken, mushrooms) arepas. While the Arepa shell itself was cooked for perfection (besides sharp, chewing and dense inside), the filling left much to be desired. Choose the ham and cheese over the cheese/chicken/Mushroom combo; the latter was thrown together with no unity flavor and the mushrooms appeared (although there were boxes of fresh mushrooms in the dining room). It is possible that the other available arepa options are much better. Luckily you get a package of Salsa Rosada (Madonnaise and Ketchup) to your arepas with too taste, although the Pepto Bismol-Pink color can throw you a bit! For only COP 2300 (cheese and cheese) and COP 5700 (cheese/chicken/Mushrooms) you cannot go wrong. The place opens around 11, has some seating inside, and tends to draw lines and be busy at night, so I guess this is a popular late evening place for hungry students.
