Café Del Mar - Bocas del Toro

Very tiny place next to marina, have some vegan options, enjoyed smoothie bowl and aubergine panini. but place seems to me a little expensive comparison with other places.

Vegan options are very limited on Bocas, so this place is nice if you are looking for breakfast or lunch. Had a FANTASTIC smoothie (pineapple passion fruit), but unfortunately my lunch was super greasy/oily. I got the eggplant panini and couldn’t finish it, despite it being a reasonable size. The grease was just too much for me. But I’m sure the other options are good. My smoothie was legit awesome!

I went here twice. The first time, I got a smoothie. It was very good and the staff was friendly. I came back the next day for breakfast. The guy was very unfriendly. He didn’t want to give me tap water even though I had it next door at Amaranto because it “tastes bad”. I told him I was fine with it but he never brought me any water tap or otherwise to drink. I had a smoothie bowl and it was good, but the service was so slow that I was there almost an hour just for that bowl.

Grateful for vegan options, but nothing to write home about. My burrito was just a ton of rice, where’s the veggies???!
