The Grilled Cheese Hideaway

I love this place! I stopped in for a quick bite on my way up to a wedding and it was so delicious I stopped on my way home too! The soups are amazing, the sandwiches are delicious and the staff is very friendly. Make sure you visit when you are in the area.

Long time resident of Bobcaygeon, but first time visiting this shop. Great service right from the second we walked into this place, super friendly and fast!Food was 10/10 and so much more than we expected!! I had always thought “grilled cheese” how exciting can it be? Well I was 100% wrong, this was not your mom’s grilled cheese! Inside was very busy so we opted for takeout, but will continue to try for a table inside next time, the atmosphere is so comfy and enjoyable, I was jealous of the people lucky enough to be dining in. Can’t say enough great things about this place!

The food was okay overall, something you could whip up at home with the right ingredients but the reason for my 1 star review is wholly because of the service. The server was extremely rude, disrespectful arrogant to say the least. Upon ordering, I had simply asked if there were any other sauces I could substitute instead of mayo to which they replied “we aren’t a pizza place” followed by other snarky remarks. I 10/10 recommend if you want an unpleasant experience served by a distasteful individual. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter the most in creating a welcoming atmosphere if I can give any advice it’s to probably quit your job and go find something that makes you happy. I will never go back again and suggest the same to others.

The food is absolutely incredible. The soup is outta this world. Cozy atmosphere and great service. So many veg options. Will be back!!
