Scals Trattoria - BLUE POINT

If you're into lobster, the lobster feast is a good deal. It's all-you-can-eat lobster (along with some other stuff in the buffet...clams, prime rib, peel&eat shrimp, salad, etc with the only downside being that you have to get all the lobster meat out yourself (cracking the shell, etc It can get a bit messy so be prepared to get your hands dirty. Overall, a good deal, especially if you can eat a lot. The room was a bit on the noisy side (but not unbearable) with trendy-type music playing in the background. Service was really good and the staff was very friendly. Since we got the buffet, it's a bit hard to judge the food but I would definitely go back.

The facility is beautiful. We were seated for dinner and were greeted by Jeanette's B-day Party of about women. They were loud and disturbing to us and everyone in the restaurant. We complained and they were the topic of our conversation for most of the night. As dinner arrived we were offered to be moved to other locations but we declined. Appetizers of Tempura Shrimp and Calamari were ordered and the Calamari wasn't that great and returned pretty much untouched. Our dinners included Seafood Tortelloni, Shirt Steak, Scallops and Tuna. The food was good. A round of drinks was received for our complaint and the Calamari was removed from the bill. The bar was excellent with a DJ for dancing. We stayed till close. We will go back.

The food was excellent, their steaks are huge and well seasoned. We had the goat cheese pizza appetizer, very good. Blue is beautiful inside and very modern. The staff was very helpful and friendly, i'll definetly go back again.

Went for Lobsterfest. Dining room a bit crowded for a buffet set up...but food was fresh...buffet was kept clean...would happily go again. Have been there with the normal menu...food is very good.

THE LIGHTING IN THE MAIN ROOM SEEMED TO BE FROM THE DISCO ERA. BOTH MY WIFE AND I FOUND IT DISTRACTING AND ANNOYING. IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT, I WOUND RATE IT A REAL FIND. BUT DUE TO THAT, I WE WILL NOT RETURN.
