Olive Garden Italian - Bloomington

Started rocky. Hostess seated us in small area (to the left of the bar) already packed with 6 full booths and 3 waiters while the large seating area (by the windows) was empty. We told our server Victor to turn in the other table 's order and come back for ours (rather than hold up their order). We had time to kill. Meals were very delicious and we enjoyed the fresh salad and dinner rolls. We had to ask about never ending meals we didn 't get that menu from hostess. I had the Chicken Marsala and substituted spaghetti (with Marsala gravy) for the potatoes. Very good choice. Misses had an awesome Shrimp Scampi. We were full and had to pass on desert. We would go back here. After we paid I addressed my concerns to the Manager. Seating tables for the same server at the same time places a strain on the server to properly wait on the customer. Fortunately we weren 't in a big hurry but with the holidays coming this could be a big problem if the hostesses continue this policy.

This restaurant is a great place to go with friends and enjoy a delicious, warm soup. I highly recommend their affordable lunch specials in the morning.

The three of us had soup, salad and breadsticks with 2 waters and a diet soda. The staff were friendly. Our waitress was not attentive. They had trouble keeping up with breadsticks. We had received our drinks and ate all of our scald before she brought three breadsticks out. Then we waited half an hour before our soup was served. She asked if we needed more breadsticks because our basket was empty. Indeed we did. She brought three more. We asked for drink refills. She brought the soda but not the water. The salad and soup were fine but our meal was more than $50. We had no appetizers or desserts. I would prefer to go to a more upscale Italian restaurant if I am paying that long price.

My husband and I visited on a crowded Friday night and only had to wait about five minutes for a table. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We would definitely return if we are in the area.

We ate here because it was close to our hotel and fortunately it was a good decision as the experience was very positive. The atmosphere and food were very good and the service was excellent. Either you are a fan of the Olive Garden or you're not and once again we were very happy with this visit.
