Hazelwood Food And Drink - Bloomington

My wife and I stopped in on a Friday night for a late dinner. The joint was popping but we were seated promptly by a very sweet host and hostess. They were really nice and professional. Our waitress got to us quickly and took drink orders while we considered the menus. It was late and we really just wanted a bite, but the options looked so good (and my wife was starving) so she ended up getting a burger. There was short rib in the meat, and she ended up raving about the flavor and juiciness. Needless to say, I was not offered a bite. I had a bowl of the shrimp corn chowder. OMG. It was thick and packed full of flavor. It was well-seasoned and the shrimp and corn were in every bite. The atmosphere is fancy, but not overbearing. A collared shirt and pants seems like a good idea here, but we saw a few people who were more casual, as well as some who were dressed formally. The drinks were great, the service was good, and the food was great. Price points were very fair. All-in-all, a very nice restaurant!

Came here for a family birthday. The good: -Raspberry tequila smash cocktail was awesome- fresh and not too sweet. -The Santa Fe salad was excellent, the smoked chicken was to die for! -Banana cream pie and chocolate cake dessert were both delicious The bad: -service was slow. We were informed there was a 2 hour limit on our table but it took so long for them to get our drink/dinner/dessert orders and bring out food that we took longer than 2 hours -lobster bisque- not great. Barely any lobster. That's what I get for ordering lobster in July in MN, lol -there were 6 of us and we were seated in a U shaped booth which made it impossible to hear anyone who wasn't next to you, and the restaurant was LOUD. Would definitely return with a smaller group. Can't stop thinking about that cocktail!

My family and I dined here passing through when flying out of MSP. Great environment, great service from Brooklyn and delicious food! We started with the Brie cheese curds- our party was split on these. Those who loved them, loved them and those who didn't, didn't. (My dad in the thumbs down picture is in reference to these As a family of 6, we had the seafood scampi, rodeo burger, short rib pasta and fish and chips and when going around the table after dinner, everyone gave their entrees a 5/5! Extensive drink menu with a good wine and beer list as well. We didn't save room for dessert but the menu looked enticing. Would definitely recommend to those near the MSP airport or here for shopping at mall of America.

Came in for a later lunch. Service was a little substandard for this place. Long gaps in seeing any server come by. Tried a couple apps roasted corn dip and fried brussel sprouts. Both were a solid B grade. Chopped salad was very good but portion size was small. Split a banana cream pie dessert which was the best thing I tried.

Loved our food here. The steak hash with hollandaise was phenomenal, as was the candied bacon. Plenty of parking, too! Nothing to complain about whatsoever, would strongly recommend!
