Usually, I find myself eating too much at other pizza restaurants, but that’s never the case here. Their breadsticks were amazing, and the service was fantastic!
I ordered the garlic cheese loaf and a pepperoni and sausage pizza, but it wasn't what it used to be. I used to love Chicago's, but the last two visits have been disappointing. They also forgot the sauces I paid for, which is really frustrating since I’m too far away to return. The pizza was incredibly dry, and the garlic cheese loaf was quite soggy. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly. I'm just hoping that my next visit will be better than the last two times.
The food was decent, but the service was extremely lacking. We waited 10 minutes just for water, and there was no refill throughout our visit. We had to get up and ask for anything we needed, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant and there were at least five staff members working. It was a terrible experience. They didn't even have us sign a receipt, so we'll definitely be monitoring our bank transactions closely. The staff seemed unprofessional and were rude to each other in front of us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. It's truly disappointing.
For 1..they advertise on Facebook that the lunch buffet was 9.00 per person and that includes a drink. We were charged 12.00 per person and it was a Tuesday. 2, there was little to no pizza on the buffet and the lettuce on the salad bar was brown. We waited25 minutes for them to get a cinnamon pizza out and when we finally got some there was a big ol hair in it. Not on it, COOKED init. I showed the hair to an employee and he just said well sorry about that. Then I went to the counter (because the don't cometo your table) to get my refill to go and they tried to charge me for a to go drink. I said no I'll just leave and on the wayout I showed the OWNER the cooked in hair in the cinnamon pizza and he says..sorry about that. And thats it. I said I'll not beback and he says, well ok. He didn't really seem to care at all that he was losing customers, and we have been there many timeswith our family of 12 people. This place use to be good. But now it kind of dirty and run down. The employees were great but theowner was too worried about telling the employees everything they were doing wrong..(loud enough the customers could hear)..thanthe happiness and experience that the customers were having. Do better, don't have false pricing, don't make paying customerspay for a to go drink, don't correct your employees in front of the customers, don't have hair cooked into the food. DO make youcustomers feel valued and their concerns heard. I didn't ask for refund of and compensation and I wasn't offered anythingeither!
Overall, this is my favorite pizza place. We ordered three pizzas: a thin crust, a regular crust, and a deep dish. I often find that I overindulge at other pizza restaurants, but that’s never the case here. The breadsticks were exceptionally delicious, and the service was outstanding.
