Aver's Pizza - Bloomington

While traveling late at night, we struggled to find a restaurant with vegan options that were still open. Luckily, we stumbled upon Aver's, which stays open until 2am. We ordered a pizza with vegan cheese and assorted toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic flavor was strong but flavorful. Overall, the meal surpassed our expectations.

I believe that Aver's offers a better value and taste compared to Mother Bear's. Their pizza is not as oily, the crust is lighter and fluffier (similar to Papa John's), and they offer a vegan cilantro pesto (along with BBQ and buffalo) for those looking for a change from traditional tomato sauce. The pesto has a nice level of spiciness. I appreciate the variety of toppings available, including a selection of vegetables, as well as mushrooms, potatoes, and beans. My personal favorite is the sun-dried tomatoes. Aver's has a dedicated vegan menu which makes ordering easy. They are transparent about the ingredients in their dough, which is helpful. The breadsticks are also tasty. While Aver's may not be as budget-friendly as Azzip or Papa John's, it is definitely a rewarding treat. For those looking for vegan meat options, Azzip may be a better choice, but I personally prefer Aver's for their thicker crust, family-sized pizzas, and high-quality ingredients. The addition of vegan cheese to their menu really elevated the experience. Overall, Aver's offers really delicious pizza.

Aver’s is my go to place! Even before they had vegan cheese, I loved their pizza, breadsticks, and monkey bread. Now, with the Violife cheese, I can get cheezesticks, too! Make sure you ask for no garlic herb sauce, and sub garlic dipping sauce. Delivery is always fast and friendly, too.
