Pholicious - Bloomingdale

Very awkward atmosphere. Our server was very hard to understand and extremely soft spoken and sounded like he was mumbling. Customer service could have been better. Food was overpriced. I’m glad they have vegetarian options but their food was too expensive. Mediocre tasting at best. All the meals came out at different times too. The restaurant also has a funky smell to it. My mother ordered some egg rolls, which tasted like there could have been frog meat or something in them. The meat was very strange in there. Are we coming back? No. Just weird. Not horrible but just weird.

Just started coming here recently and it’s becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Bloomingdale. The pho is great and their banh mi are STELLAR. Servers have always been very nice when I dine in too! Just ordered takeout for the first time today and it was super fast and absolutely delicious as always. We are so lucky to have such amazing family owned restaurants in town and always need to support them!

Delicious food, great Bun Dau Mam Tom( this dish only for experienced foodies because of the shrimp paste sauce) , good service, awesome Viet iced coffee

Heard about this place on Yelp and decided to give them a try on an early Saturday night. Located in a strip center on Army Trail Rd. Plenty of parking. Not too crowded but it was early.We decided to do takeout even tho they do have plenty of indoor seating. Booths and tables with a small bar area. Soft music playing in the background but too bright. They need to turn down the lights in my opinion.Never had Vietnamese food before we ordered Spring Rolls..2 per order...Grilled Pork Lemongrass and Shrimp. Not much flavor. The rice wrap was too gummy and the only filling besides the proteins was lettuce and rice noodles.Also tried the Roasted Pork Banh Mi sandwich. The bread was fantastic but the pork was dried out and crispy. Again very little flavor.The best dish was the Sliced Rib Eye Pho. Flavorful broth and tender beef. Again I wish there was more vegetables to add to the flavor.Maybe we just prefer the Thai version of these foods but if you are looking for a family run business and willing to experience Vietnamese food..give them a try.

Anyone who rates this restaurant below 5 stars must really enjoy bland food, because this place absolutely deserves all 5! Every dish was delicious, and the decor was fantastic, creating a wonderful atmosphere. And let’s not forget the drinks! The bartender is a solid 10 stars, and the cocktails are generous in size. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone!
