Now, about the service: I was the only customer in the restaurant from noon until 12:50 PM, yet the server never once stopped his conversation on his earpiece. To make matters worse, he kept pacing around the establishment while speaking, which was quite distracting. He only addressed me twice—once to point out the water and the display case when I arrived, and later, when I asked for water in a glass with ice because I suspected there might be a charge for the bottled water. It felt like the restaurant was being run by someone from an earlier era. The server left five light bulbs off above the buffet table, as if that was a strategy to save on electricity. When I took over our family business, I was told that turning on lights in another room made it feel like we had expanded. The lack of light added to the depressing atmosphere, especially since I was the only patron. If they just brightened the place up, people might be more inclined to stop in. As for the restroom, it was just as I expected: damp, musty, and heavily masked with chemical sprays. It made me wonder how the kitchen was being maintained. Now, despite these issues, I must emphasize that the food was impressive—hot, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. I believe it’s time for the younger family members to take the reins of this place. To improve the atmosphere, they should consider installing bright LED lights; yes, it's a bit of investment initially, but they are long-lasting and will save money in the long run. The music should also be adjusted—play pleasant background tracks without any singing, turned down low. Lastly, they need to put up an outdoor sign advertising the buffet. Currently, the promotion is limited to a crowded window display. And most importantly, the server should be encouraged to engage with customers instead of racing around with his phone.
