Hans Herzog Estate - Blenheim

My mother and I were thoroughly impressed by our visit to Hans Herzog. We scheduled a vineyard tour and tasting in June 2023, and it was definitely the highlight of our trip to the South Island. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and it was great to see Hans himself working in the vineyard while we were there. The tasting room was immaculate, and the views were absolutely spectacular. We left with bottles of the best wine we had during our entire wine tour, and we will definitely be ordering more when we return to the States. I highly recommend this experience!

We stopped in for a classic wine tasting and had such an incredible experience. Maria was our guide and she was so informative and pleasant to speak with. We ended up buying a delicious white bottle and then she gave us a bunch of recommendations for our NZ stay. She was an absolute treasure, and we’re so happy we stopped in! We will be back!

We were part of a wine club group who had booked a tour and tasting. Fascinating story of the founder (who was working away in the vineyards behind us) and the passion and precision that drives him to offer an astounding array of wines from a very modest plot. Herzog have a very different offering to what are considered 'Marlborough ' wines and is all the better for it. Great host/guide (Thanks Maria) who was very knowledgeable, very entertaining and engaging. The tasting itself was well thought through in glimpsing some of the wines on offer. Highly recommended.

I had a pleasant experience, even better because I was attended by a compatriot (Chilean), passionate about wine and with a lot of energy to share and show the quality of the vines. I did the wine tasting, totally recommended. My favorites ones were the Mistral and the Riesling. Thanks to Gerald for his great kindness and good energy.

We just had an incredible experience at Hans Herzog! We stayed in their beautiful cottage, and the personalized service from Hans and Therese was outstanding. We savored a barrel tasting, enjoyed some exquisite library wines, and indulged in a delightful lunch prepared by Hans and Therese, which was absolutely delicious. Each morning, we were treated to breakfast brought straight to us. It was a memorable stay filled with wonderful moments! Thank you so much!
