Asiana - Bldg Fort Wainwright

I really love sushi, and although my husband usually doesn't, he enjoyed it here and wanted to come back for more. So, I took advantage of the opportunity! Generally, I love all-you-can-eat sushi and am fine with being charged for leftover food. However, I really don't understand the no-sharing rule. We ordered different rolls, and I wanted to try some from my husband's plate, but we couldn't because we'd be charged $15 for sharing. What?! I just wanted to taste the roll to see if I liked it enough to order it for myself, but that wasn't allowed. It's frustrating to be charged for sharing a roll that I essentially paid for since we share the bill. That seems outrageous. Additionally, water refills were scarce and took a long time to come. The last time we visited, it felt like we received more rice than filling in our rolls. On the bright side, the fried Philadelphia roll is amazing. You'll thank me later for recommending it!

The staff are wonderful, and the food is consistently delicious. As a fan of Asian cuisine, I consider this the best spot in Fairbanks for it.

The sushi was absolutely delicious! However, I wish we had been informed that the price for the All You Can Eat Sushi had increased to $36 per person. Additionally, a small bottle of sake costs $18, and there’s a $15 charge if you don’t finish all your sushi. So, be careful not to over-order. Despite those issues, I can’t complain about the quality of the sushi—it was fantastic! The baked sushi, in particular, was incredible!

This restaurant was one of my son’s favorite places to eat. He passed away in April 2020, just a month before his graduation. The atmosphere here is peaceful, the staff is very friendly, and the food is excellent. I have many wonderful memories tied to this place. My son was only 17 years old. Please, come and eat, enjoy, and love!

This is the best food I’ve had since leaving home, and the staff are amazing; they make me feel like family every time I visit. I couldn’t ask for anything more. 10/10!
