For appetizers, we ordered the chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce and cream cheese wontons. For our main course, my partner had the smoked pork belly with purple sticky rice and Hmong pepper sauce, while I went with the crying tiger steak cooked to medium. We also couldn't resist ordering the caterpillar roll since we both love sushi. The smoked black belt was crispy, greasy, and perfectly cooked. I may have stolen a few bites from my partner's plate! The crying tiger steak was also delicious, especially with the Hmong pepper sauce. The steak was cooked just how I like it, although I might try medium next time. The only disappointment was the caterpillar roll - something just didn't taste right, and I suspect it was one of the sauces on top. I'll opt for a different sushi roll next time. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. I appreciated the diverse selection of Asian cuisine, ranging from Hmong, Vietnamese, and Thai to traditional Chinese-American dishes and Japanese-inspired sushi. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine!
I visited this restaurant with my brother and husband and we absolutely loved it! My husband ordered the spicy basil chicken, my brother had the drunken noodles, and I tried Rocky's special pho. Everything was delicious! We visited on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive. We can't wait to come back and try other dishes on the menu. I highly recommend this place.
There were 4 of us fed for this meal, we ordered to share food. general tso’s, shrimp lo mien, egg rolls, crispy sushi. that was the first general tso’s that I had in one who had actually a few spicy but not overwhelming. eier roles and lo mien were both very good as the fried rice. I'm not a fan of sushi, but the rest seemed to like it, but thought the Yaum-Yum sauce tasted like mayo, wasn't the best they had. the personal was great!
Definitiw a hidden gem! I wanted to try out a lot here because her sort is crazy. sushi was better than I thought. I have the snowshoe (I forgot what the other was called rolling) the pad thai had something too sweet, but still very good. the phobic was super aromatic, perhaps hard to hand over to the fish sauce, but still delicious. the beef basket was overpriced, but tender and well beaten! I wish they were going to spend steak knives with them. papaya salat was a bit too sweet, but even better than what I had. early roll and the edible sauce with which it came were good. I was totally impressed with eating. service was in order, considering that they need to be understaffed, but it was not too terrible. server smiled and very friendly. will be back!
Wow! Very impressed with the food and exceptional service.Chicken wings (no sauce/glaze) had the perfect crunch. Dont care much for super flavorful wings, which these werent, as thats what side of pepper dip is for. Dip had good lime/fish sauce ratio.Crunchy Cali Roll- nice presentation, tasted better than expected. Didnt fall apart. No complaints.Papaya Salad (lao style not the absolute best but definitely among my top 5. Perfect balance of flavors, nothing overwhelming. Only regret is I had to share. Next time its all mine and ordering 5/5 spice. Typical portion for price.Beef Larb (cooked again, well rounded flavors slightly on limey side which is preferred.Drunken Noodles- good char, not overpowered by too many veggies as I've had elsewhere. Good meat and noodle portion. Worth ordering.Beef Brisket/Hmong stye- will admit not an expert on brisket but I enjoyed this dish tho I felt maybe a bit overpriced. However, others may disagree and its all good- different strokes/different folks.Sticky Rice (purple not hard and overcooked. Was what sticky rice should be. Portion size adequate.Already looking to return to try other dishes (pho and eggrolls tho may be a while since a bit out of the way. Absolutely great customer service, periodically checking in to see if anything needed and not excessive to point of annoyance. Sure, wait times a bit longer but sign on front door clearly states staff shortage so dont be a karen. Only suggestion I'd make is consider food pairings when bringing out dishes (i.e. with papaya, wings or larb, also bring out rice if ordered, which I'd assume is readily available). And if wanting to go extra mile, tho I'm being a karen now, bamboo baskets for sticky rice as I noticed rice got harder longer it was uncovered. Overall great dining experience.
