Perhaps early evening is not the best time to buy baguettes of cheese and ham. I wonder how long they had been on display in the chilled counter. The service was surly, I suspect because the guy spoke no English, and he didn't offer any paper napkins, so I had to lean over and grab a couple. I can't say the baguettes were a pleasant experience they were tough and took quite a bit of chewing. The general environment is quite pleasant and contemporary, though at 8.45pm everyone was moved to the outer area because the staff wanted to close the more pleasant inner one. At least that was done by a girl who was polite, apologetic and spoke English. Actually she did us a favour because we finished up our food and went to passport control where there was the largest queue I remember joining on the way out of a country.
Arnaud worked very hard to serve us but the young lady did absolutely nothing. Why is she employed? Bone idle and ignorant.
