The Talisman - Blaenau Gwent

I went to this restaurant with friends for pre-drinks before going to the cinema. It was a bad choice! I found the place to be very unwelcoming, with rude bar staff. When I asked to exchange 3 Coors because they didn't taste right, the bartender made a big fuss about it. It was definitely a negative experience and I won't be going back. It seems like they prefer to cater to regulars who are used to low-quality beer.

Ate here a couple of times,, had a long wait both times. the food is good as is the service but the wait for it is unacceptable so unfortunately we wont be back

We popped in for a pint before going to the cinema. Nice to see an old traditional pub doing well. We got chatting will a local, and were made very welcome. Good pint of real ale. We will go back again in the next few weeks for a meal and to go and see the local Jam Night. On a Sunday evening ever two weeks I believe. I’ve lived all my life in the nearby town but have never been in the Talisman before, but will call in there again. Mike
