Gourmet Burger - Blackpool

I walked into this fancy Blackpool diner caff style restaurant with its very swanky looking buffet in the middle, the smell of salty Chinese food wafting up the nostrils. The atmosphere was just thrilling in this place I could barely contain my excitement, the 70's look with no music and lighting similar to that of a rest home for the elderly. Anyway, over to the food, I piled a range of the edibles on my plate to sample it. Its a good job i'd gone to the gym that day because on my plate was a range of fried beige foods (suitable for those pesky fussy eaters on the spectrum) which had been soaking in the oil just a tad too long. The room temperature grub gave me great comfort that at least I wasn't going to burn my mouth. Now i'm not complaining about having a night off cooking and washing the pots but i'm quite sure the Asda cornflakes in my cupboards might have contained more flavour and nutrients than the unfortunate food I had to endure at Gourmet House. So next time I'm thinking of handing over £14 for an all you can eat buffet here, I might just reach for that crunchy nut bowl of deliciousness instead.

Very nice food Ordered the cheese burger meal. Outstanding value made a change to be served a real burger not cheap ones filled with water. Staff very polite would recommend. Returning again next week. Thank you

Didnt expect much fro a theme park burger but this was yummy! £4.95 for a burger then 35p per additional topping like cheese etc but worth every penny. Cooked fresh. Would definately recommend.

Visited here yesterday as unable to find restaurant we had booked they had two and we arrived at wrong one.as we were seeing a show just next door opera house at first a bit dissapointed as very stark but the young waiter enthusiastic about the history of the building obviously proud of the pkace. unusual )we ordered smothered chicken and a glass of red wine i can honestly say it was the best I've ever been served and wine was delicious also.it was hot and very well cooked this was about six in the evening. And the prices were very reasonable. We had a great meal thank you

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my son. We had to go to the bar to order as there were no staff around, but that wasn't a big deal. We waited over half an hour for our burger and chicken dishes. Several people who came in after us received their food before us, and we were told ours would be coming soon, but it was taking longer because we ordered chicken. When I took a bite of my burger, I found it was raw in the middle. I spoke to the manager, who told me I was the first to complain. She then asked if I wanted the same burger recooked, as a new one would take a long time. I was shocked by her response and found her attitude to be unprofessional and disrespectful. I got a refund and left without letting my son eat his meal. I would not recommend this restaurant. West Coast and Ed's Diner are much better options with more competent staff and management.
