Los Gavilanes Mexican Grill - Blackfoot

Ordered the only ribeye, which came with seafood, not my thing they were accommodating and substituted Chile rellano instead of prawns. Sad part is the steak was quite a bit smaller than usually provided. Pretty sure not close to 14oz raw. More like 10 oz rawor less. I kept looking for my favorite part the juicy part. It was not there and the ribeye was more like it was coddled together now I know why it looked small it was missing the cap. Food and service usually good. Not when missing the most important part of the steak

My husband and I go there for lunch and dinner. I like the chili Colorado and chili Colorado burritos. My husband tries something new every time and hasn’t found anything that wasn’t great. The staff is so friendly. You always feel welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant.Parking: Their parking lot is huge. It’s in a small shopping mall.Kid-friendliness: Yes they are friendly to kids.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking right in front of the restuarant.

Yum! Loved the mangonada margaritas. And birria tacos.

Food was brought to the table and waitress was reminded I had asked for ranch to go with my taco salad. While waiting, my food was getting cold so I searched the restaurant for the waitress, and no employees were in sight. After 15 minutes, she finally came out and I flagged her down. By then my food was cold so I told her I didn’t want it because the ranch had not been brought. She apologized. When the check came I asked if my meal could be taken off given the circumstances. The cashier said she would ask. My waitress came to the register and I asked if it was taken care of to which she said yes. As I went to sign I noticed it had not been taken off so I asked. She said she didn’t know anything about it and would go ask. I waited ten minutes before I finally just paid the bill and left. So frustrating. Do not recommend at all!

I got the Fajita Nacho daily special with beef, wonderful. Waitress is always friendly. Great Michalata as well. Best Mexican in Blackfoot. I have never been disappointed here. Wife got avocado chicken salad. Keep up the great work.
