The Postal Order

We meet up in the Postal order every week for coffee with friends. Every few weeks we have a meal wine etc. Today they missed a meal off but we got the free drink which we couldn't understand. It was probably a genuine mistake but the girl with the orange hair was quite rude and stroppy. We didn't make a fuss as we didn't want to spoil our afternoon but she needs to learn about good customer service. We have a very good relationship with Dave the manager as we have been going in here for many years and hopefully this was just an isolated incident

We arrived at the bar hoping to order lunchtime drinks and food on a Saturday afternoon. There were several bar staff behind the bar, but only one of them was serving customers. After a frustrating 10-minute wait with no one even acknowledging our presence, we decided to leave as the bar manager left their shift despite a line of customers waiting to be served. We ended up going to another pub down the road called The Victoria, where we received a warm welcome from the landlord. Although they didn't serve food, they had a wide selection of drinks at affordable prices and the overall atmosphere and music were fantastic. We will definitely be returning to The Victoria in the future, even though we have previously enjoyed visiting Wetherspoons. Leaving customers waiting at the bar without any acknowledgment is unacceptable.

I am staying at the Premier Inn on my own so just needed a few beers and quick food Staff are lovely and to be honest it’s a very nice Wetherspoon compared with some of their venues A lovely building that felt cleaner than most A Katsu curry and three pints did the job I found it a nice place during the week and would return if I ever visited Blackburn again

Busy, struggled to find a table, spoke to staff who sorted out a table straight away. Thought the food would take ages, waited 15 mins. Great food, good portion size. Table cleared quickly. Friendly staff.
