I booked a room and a meal at the blackboys Inn, the room was great and clean couldn't fault it, we booked a meal on the Saturday we was a bit early and the staff was accommodating and we got seated, but not in the restaurant it was in the bar area witch eas OK apart from a loud bunch of young farmers, thay were in and out of both bars and the outside area, we didn't appreciate the bad language that was getting worse and the night went on, the food was OK nothing like a restaurant but had restaurant prices, I had a rib eye stake, I had never seen a rib eye stake so small, my wif had the vegetable curry and she said it was nice. A really pleasant early dinner. Varied menu and not ruinously expensive.

Really good meal here can definitely recommend the Sussex Smokie. Very friendly and welcoming staff and happy to allow our dog in too!
