Mountain Stop Cafe - BLACK HEAD

We went in for coffee with our month old baby. I walked in to order, was not greeted with a smile, instead I was abruptly told ‘you’d better not be changing that baby’s nappy on my table’.. I would never do that! My partner...was sitting her on the edge of the table, interacting with her! I was then told to ‘hurry up and order’ because they wanted to turn their coffee machine off (mind you, it was We’ve since become local to the area and I refuse to give this rude woman my business!

Great food Big variety of food well cooked. Staff is friendly and always happy to please. Nice to sit in the sun or shade and enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch.

We made a stop here for morning refreshments and were very impressed by the delicious home baked sweets.

We did the challenging Mt Cooroora summit hike on a Sunday and came to Mountain Stop for refreshments after. Being a Sunday there were only cafes open and this was our choice: -Service was excellent and staff were friendly -Meals and drinks came out...within a few minutes of ordering despite it being busy -Food was simple yet tasty (chicken/cheese/tomato toastie, breakfast wrap, and roast beef and salad Turkish bread were all given the thumbs up) -Milkshakes were perfect (according to Mum and Dad who are tough critics) -Coffee was average (a little bitter) -Beautiful spot in the middle of Pomona town with a view out to the park I’d highly recommend.

Can't beat all day breakfast deal! Others are available on the coast but don't enjoy this pretty hinterland position.
