It's a truly relaxed environment and you just feel it walking in the door. Aside from those pleasures, the pleasure of your palate as you dine for lunch or dinner, how did they come up with the dishes. Exceptionally fresh tasting, digesting...and savoring even the next day from your left overs because the food is ample. A bit on the pricy side, but when your delighted by what you were served, who cares then. Well worth every dollar.
Well we sat upstairs for 15 minutes, no one came up. Went downstairs and the bartender looked right at us. another 10 minutes go by then asked if we wanted drinks. Ordered 2 sodas. More time goes by, then she asks if we were going to order food. well yea, maybe should have asked when you brought the drinks. No tip was left. Our first time there, again we sat upstairs on the way the Bartender looked right at us. as we're sitting upstairs a server comes up and goes into the little room to do something and walks right passed us. my husband had to go and get someone to help us. A supervisor/manager came up to help us. He was awesome!!! I mean seriously. If you're going to have an upstairs for people to enjoy make sure to check if people are up there. A camera, a bell, something. On a good note, the Grinder is amazing, so so good. I get amazing tips at my job, so I love to pay it forward. We'll try again, but I don't have high hopes.
From the outside it doesn’t look big enough to be much of anything but walk through the door and your first class treatment begins. We timed it well and we’re seated quickly. We could see that like everywhere, they were short staffed so when they brought our water we were ready with both drink and meal orders. We both ordered the Walleye BLT. I had mine with onion rings and my daughter with fries. Let me tell you about our moaningly good sandwiches. They were made on good square bread with a very nice piece of walleye lightly seasoned which was good because it was able to pick up a bit of the smokiness of a delicious thick cut piece of bacon it was atop. The tomato was cut to the perfect thickness to add flavor but not make your sandwich slide all over itself. The finishing touch on this perfection was the aioli spread they used instead of plain mayo. It’s flavor completed everything and added just a tiny bit of kick. Now let me also add something about the onion rings. BEST ever. Not too big to handle. Definitely not greasy or heavily breaded. They too were moaningly delicious. Our server Larissa was a whirlwind of excellence. Always appearing when we needed her and always a smile for all. This was a great experience and wonderful food. If I could have I would have given it ten stars.
Arrived about 4pm, so in-between rushes. The atmosphere was very friendly and cozy. The menu had several dished that you won't find anywhere else, and beckons a return trip to try them out. Especially after getting our food. I had the pleasure to try two of their menu items (I always steal a bite from my partner) and I was impressed. Definitely a cool spot and a great bite.
We came for Sunday brunch. We had the English muffin with sausage and potato hash plate. Hands down the best breakfast sandwich I can remember having. Both the wife and I loved it. The Carmel roll was huge and it seemed to be a homemade caramel topping. Very good.
