Meriwether's - Bismarck

Wow, it wasn't what I expected. My staff and I were out of the state and wanted to eat somewhere nice. Meriwether was accepted to be fine food with a casual atmosphere. The atmosphere was casual....the food wasn't good. At the beginning no bread was brought to our table. My friend ordered a drink and it took 15 minutes to get there. I started the salad. It was straight out of the sack salad. If it had any tomatoes or some other kind of garden plant in it, I didn't see it. I ordered the ribbed eye and I admit it was cooked as I had asked. However, it had no spices and no taste. The associated baked potatoes and bread were both cold, hard and stale. The butter would not melt on the potato. When we finally saw our waitress, we had to ask for our drinks.... I had finer food in the Golden Corral.... When our bill finally arrived, she gave us the wrong bill. Not the place to take someone for a special night.
