Gideon's Brewing Company - Bismarck

Small city feeling, big city taste. Must go if you're in Bismarck!

We decided to try this little brewery in the old Laughing Sun location after we visited Laughing Sun at their current location. You can still order pizza from next door, so it didn't change. There are popcorns to help to become a sign of beer infused meat sticks no other food. The staff was friendly and happy to deliver samples and give a run of options. It quickly became clear that this is a place with many local regular (with their own cups to prove it), a very relaxed, friendly environment where everyone (except us) seemed to know each other. There was a small stage in the back, we left right at 6 pm there was no entertainment at that time. There are a few round tables that sit between 2 8 people and a standard bar top that apparently was the place to be with standing room only. We chose a 2 seater and a few brews. I went into the butter beer, which I regretted about halfway. Don't get me wrong, it delivered exactly what it promised, which had to be a bit much. If you have a sweet tooth, this is for you very butterscotch forward, no hoppiness. My next choice was the winter wheat that was on the money probably where I should have started. In all, we had 4 brews several samples at $29All of them were balanced the descriptions. This feels like a place where someone feels inclined to embrace you with which I mean everyone seemed very comfortable... almost like family without fights. I would certainly recommend you to give an attempt, maybe even get your own cup if you are local. (We are not)

Large beer and very unique options! It's a great little brewery. Bier Menu is also the current selections on a TV behind the small stage and a chalkboard sports. The small room has only one problem when people with the door are open in the ND cold. We will definitely be back here!

I'm not a big beer gal, but I love this spot! I always get their brewed Jack and coke. They have an assortment of board games and sometimes they have live music! It's a really fun atmosphere
