Courtyard Cafe At Birr Castle

Wonderful gardens. The Great Telescope associated exhibition a revelation. Very impressive history of a talented family. The town is a short walk away full of Georgian architecture.

The exhibition on family scientific passions is very interesting. The park is huge, beautiful, you have to take the time to get lost, with of course a stop at the telescope And for the little ones a beautiful house in the trees

It is only by chance that we have landed in Birr because we did not know where to go to Clonmacnoise. The park is great, huge and well maintained, with a mega playground for children. In the middle stands the telescope, the castle could not be visited (outside the season). There is also a scientific exhibition. What is negative is that some things of the exhibition have to be repaired and aerial photographs are once again prohibited.

A very interesting business. The Telescope is amazing. Wonderful gardens.

The castle and the territory around is really lovely. We parked at the Oxmantown mall onstreet parking, which was free. We spent around three hours there, it was a great walk, the gardens and the greenhouse was beautiful.
