The Baldwin Hungry Horse - Birmingham

This pub has a wonderful staff and a great local atmosphere. They always serve the perfect Carling beer and you can always have a good laugh with the staff.

We went for a family dinner early Friday after school. Waited ages at the bar for a drink and to order. Food eventually came and it was cold and had no taste. Couldn't find a member of staff to send it back. When we went up to the bar to say something the guy simply replied with you'll have to wait we've only got 3 members of staff in no apology at all just attitude. To which we left our meal and left.

The Baldwin is our go to place when we are hungry for variety… since taking control some years ago Martin the manager has always gone the extra mile to ensure that his customers like me and my family are well taken care of and that the venue is kept clean and and running well…. The staff are friendly and are very good at their jobs. Whenever we visit we don’t go away disappointed…. we know from experience that the food will be fresh and tasty…. There will be something on the menu to temp us no matter the mood, it will be a good portion size and the price will be fair… I love value for money and I’ve always felt the meals here at the Baldwin are good for the money… even with the current price increase from hungry horse I would highly recommend the Baldwin I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and will no doubt be coming for many years to come… Well done Martin and the whole Baldwin team for a job well done… FYI: Reading through the reviews I can’t speak for other people’s personal experiences But if on a very rare occasion a customer has a problem… like a missing item that’s been ordered if they approach a member of the bar staff and highlight the issue, I know from experience they will rally around to fix the issue promptly and without fuss… I’ve in the past forgotten to order a meal for one in our party and only realised once the other meals have come out and they have rushed an order through to save the missing person waiting too long We’ve always had a great service from the Baldwin staff even when they are under pressure.

A group of 8 children and 8 adults visited this restaurant on Saturday, December 16th for a breakfast with Santa experience. The breakfast was delicious and Santa was very friendly and interacted well with the kids. Santa and the staff at the pub were accommodating and made sure our visit was enjoyable. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning next year.
