Attended charity fundraising abseil on behalf of Birmingham Parkinson's Society, using the Custard Factory's Greenhouse wall on Gibb Street, Digbeth. Safety was to the fore, with stringent measures in place on the ground, on the roof for every abseiler. Abseilers went up the elevator to the roof in small groups, providing enthusiastic support as one by one they went over the edge down the wall. Excellent training guidance provided by abseil pros. Fascinating area around the Custard Factory, with many arty cafés, restaurants shops, the area also famous for its graffiti artwork. Original cobbles cause difficulties for those of us with mobility issues I changed shoes 3 times but fortunately found a small car park with a single disabled parking spot ! on Gibb Street itself. Suggest checking parking prior to arriving in the area, a mix of narrow 1-way streets, broader streets with on-street parking, larger car parks a little further from the centre. The Custard Factory itself wasn't open. A shame as I'd have loved to explore the history of the area further.
Great venue for Friday/Saturday night. So much on offer, whether it's games Bars, crazy golf, street food or restaurants. Perfect place to spend an evening.
This place was absolutely amazing. Went here for my son's 18th birthday. Had a fantastic time and great laugh. The staff were really helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I loved this place and can't wait to go back! The views from the rooftop are fantastic! The entrance featured some unique, sunk-in artworks that looked amazing. We had access to an indoor space, but I actually enjoyed seeing more from outside since we were lower down. The architecture of the building is impressive, and it's located in a vibrant area filled with excellent restaurants and bars.
