Paprika - Birmingham

After 2 weeks in celalaya before I didn't think paprika lounge would be a patch on our experience. I could be wrong. we could take our own drinks that were just a victor. the food was definitely superior to its over street counterpart and the price was very reasonable. we had a series of directed between 9 people and there were no complains of each. I had the jalfrazi and it was cooked to perfection. I would not hesitate to go back with a small or large group. very impressed!

Ordered my curry than asked if i could have poppadom and mint sauce. he said not to worry ill give them to you free? so when phoning the absent. he said you never order them ill like wtf but he just delivered them as writing so fare play?

Had a meal in this evening with family , the food was OK ,we had something different than normal ,which I found sweeter than the one I normally have. My sis ordered a takeaway for her son which when he tasted it he said couldn't eat it as it was so sweet and syrupy it wasn't pleasant, sis phoned to say it was not good , she ended up getting an exchange which was as bad as the first one , she went to the restaurant to collect and was told he can't make her happy , refund her told her to get out as she always complains. Very untrue I go often with her and we always compliment on the meal never complain ,I don't know why he was so rude. Its unbelievable you shouldn't have to accept a meal which is not to standard, and certainly shouldn't get a ban for returning a meal. On principle I will not go back , and hindsight there is an air of arrogance with some staff Ps there must be a new chef on as everything was sweeter.

I had the jalfrazi and it was cooked to perfection. I would not hesitate to go back with a small or large group. Very impressed!

We love this restaurant. We have been going here for years and they always have great food whether its take out (we collect) or eat in. Friendly smile on arrival and always happy to help. For our family its our go to Indian restaurant. Haven't visited to eat in since lockdown but on a recent visit to collect a takeaway the restaurant had been redecorated and fewer tables inside than usual to assist in social distancing. Only concern is rice portions seem to have reduced in size as we used to order 2 (1 each) but we usually need to order 3 between us as portion sizes smaller.
