Ed's Diner Barclaycard Arena

Despite booking a table, on arrival we were told that we would have at least a 50-minute wait for food. With two hungry children with us, and a show to attend later that afternoon, we could not afford to wait this long. Ed's have yet to respond to our feedback. Very disappointed.

Extremely busy, if not too busy. Staff massively over stretched. Restaurant is too small for the capacity it needs to fulfil orders when events are on at the arena. Staff really stressed out, felt sorry for them. Food took over 1 hour to be brought to table from the point of ordering not great when on deadline for events to start.

We booked a table 24 hours in advance for 4 people at 1pm on Saturday. When we arrived (at 1pm) we were told there were no tables available and we would have to wait. When I said I had a reservation they said oh, it 's because another show just finished . It 's quite clear that making a reservation at this place makes no difference. Eventually (50 minutes later) we got a table. The service was slow, but the food was good when it eventually arrived. Standing around with 2 children, one of them with learning difficulties for almost an hour was not pleasant. They knocked £10 off the bill, but to be honest I would have expected more. Would not recommend this restaurant and I will definitely not be going back again. The Cafe within the Lego Discovery building next door was far better and I wish we would have stayed in there.

Friendly server. Long wait but was advised it would be at least 30 minutes. It is a very busy venue at the arena so understand how busy they are.

Excellent service and great help from the young Italian lady who managed a large party of ours to great effect
