Byzantium - Birmingham

Good selection of small plates, with dishes from across the Mediterranean. I would say the quality of the food was consistently good but not mind blowing. Aubergine parmigiana was particularly good though and good selection of veggie options.

The food, a mix of Greek and Spanish, is excellent. The best halloumi Saganaki I've ever had! Very vegetarian friendly. Not much atmosphere, but it was 7pm on a Tuesday in April (there for a gig at the Hare Hounds)

We dined early so hard to judge the atmosphere as we and another couple where the only diners in there.

The food was delicious, but the waiter was not friendly.he barely acknowledged or spoke to us.maybe he had had a bad day but we did feel unwelcome.

Excellent food from genuine Mediterranean cook and waiter. Good choice and nice ambience.
